FilmInk Presents is proud announce the Melbourne premiere of Observance, a new critically acclaimed Australian psychological thriller in the vein of Roman Polanski’s apartment trilogy. Observance will be screening at ACMI on the 12th of April at 7.30pm. The screening will be followed by an audience Q&A with director Joseph Sims-Dennett hosted by Alexandra Heller-Nicholas.

Observance, tells the story of Parker, a man in the grips of grief following the death of his young son, his marriage on the rocks and nearing bankruptcy. He reluctantly returns to work as a private investigator. Embarking on an unusual assignment to observe a woman from an abandoned apartment, Parker witnesses bizarre happenings surrounding her, unaware that the derelict building that he surveys her from has birthed a dark presence which slowly threatens to consume him. The film features a cast of local up and comers, and cameos from John Jarratt, Roger Ward and Brendan Cowell.
