George A. Romero Tribute…
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will continue its year-long residency at the Metrograph Theater in New York City with upcoming horror film trailer retrospective, and a tribute to the late George A. Romero.
WHAT |
The Academy and Metrograph will present “It Came from the Vaults,” a program of classic 35mm horror trailers and advertising material, courtesy of the Packard Humanities Institute Collection at the Academy Film Archive. Introduced by journalist Michael Gingold, former editor-in-chief of Fangoria, the program will include trailers from horror classics such as “Suspiria,” “Psycho,” “Scream” and many more.

The Academy will host a special screening of Romero’s science fiction-horror-action film “The Crazies,” about the effects of the accidental release of a military biological weapon upon the inhabitants of a small American town, starring Lane Carroll, Will MacMillan and Harold Wayne Jones.
