Masque Of The Red Death…
Ok, so this is a pretty shitty time for humans. We’re self-isolating, social distancing, in lockdown or quarantining, if you have been doing those things and following the rules –
A)You’re a good person
and
B) You’re probably getting a bit of cabin fever by now.
With that in mind, we have here something that was given to us by the very awesome Jack Reher @JReher. Jack and his writing partner Jean-Marie Sobeck wrote this sometime before this current pandemic and have just polished it up a little.
Now this maybe cuts to close to the bone for some of you so here is a WARNING – The follow fiction deals with a virus that spreads through the human race, this is a work of fiction. If you feel this will be too much for you and not good for your mental health then please feel free to give this a miss.
The Masque of the Red Death is a short story by Egdar Allan Poe and this script is based of that. Poe’s story which was written some thirty years before the Spanish Flu, and the story can be interpreted many ways but Poe did draw on the Bubonic Plague, so as we seen through time writers incorporate issues from the past, put their own spin on things and end up arriving in the future.
Anyway enjoy this distraction and again a big thanks to Jack Reher for sharing this.
