The North Bend Film Festival, set for August 4-7 is very nearly upon us and after checking out the list, we have found three films that are our must see films at the festival!

First up is SWALLOWED, from director Carter Smith and it promises drugs, bugs and horrific intimacy. I don’t know about you but that seems like a nightmare… and we want in.

Next up is Mali Elfman’s NEXT EXIT. When a scientist claims that she can track people in the afterlife, two strangers travel cross country to take part in the study and voluntarily end their lives. Bold swings are what film is all about and with NEXT EXIT, Elfman takes them whilst balancing terror, comedy and poignancy.

And last on this list is THE CIVIL DEAD. Three words – Supernatural, buddy comedy. A misanthropic, struggling photographer just wants to watch TV and eat candy while his wife is out of town, but when a desperate old pal resurfaces, his plans are thwarted, with spooky consequences. The best human stories are told through the prism of the supernatural and THE CIVIL DEAD looks to balance the eerie and creepy with ruminations on loneliness and alienation.
