Season four of American Horror Story is going carnie….
Writer Douglas Petrie seemed to confirm the rumour that has been circulating during the Nerdist Writers Panel podcast when he answered a direct question about whether the show would focus on a Carnival theme by saying “Very roughly, that’s the idea.” Murphy has previously announced that season four will take place in the 1950s, further defining the overall concept of the season, which is also looking like it’s the final season for star Jessica Lange although additional casting has not yet been announced. The creators and a handful of cast members are set for the March 28 AHS panel at PaleyFest, where last year Murphy announced the third season concept and Coven subtitle.
The “carnival” theme would follow the previous AHS seasons – Murder House, Asylum and Coven – and it set to return in October on FX.
