With 2019 coming to close, us here at Haddonfield Horror put together at list of our favourites for this year. A very good year for horror films, with plenty of indy films and studio joints providing some great highlights but you there is some not horror stuff in the lists as well because…we aren’t just one dimensional people. Parasite – Not strictly horror but it is the most brutal satire I’ve ever seen
The Nightingale – When your country of birth, has the harsh mirror of history thrust in its face the result is always ugly. The Nightingale does just that – it’s a confronting, rough watch. Also a masterpiece.
Doctor Sleep – You’d think this just couldn’t work but it does, includes one of the harshest scenes in a wide studio release – ever.
