Jacqueline Ess is coming to the big screen…
The film is based on one of Clive Barker’s “Jacqueline Ess: Her Will and Testament” and is about a woman who can telekinetically alter the bodies of others. It will mark a feature-length directorial debut for Jovanka Vuckovic, who also co wrote the script with Christian Francis.
Variety reports that Lena Headey (Game of Thrones, The Purge, 300:Rise of an Empire) will be the star. “Lena Headey is a marvelous performer with an incredible presence,” says Barker, who will executive-produce with Mark Miller and Ben Meares. “As far as I’m concerned, there is no better choice of actress for the role of Jacqueline. Her beauty and authority will carry the day.”
The story originally appeared in Barker’s “Books of Blood”, which also included the stories used for the horror films “Lord of Illusions” and “Candyman.”
